My Story
My artistic journey is a tapestry woven from the vibrant streets of São Paulo to the serene landscapes of British Columbia.
For years, I channeled my creativity into a career as a graphic designer and illustrator, honing a visual language that now finds its purest expression on my canvas.
But deep down, I realized: I wasn't just making art. I was making art for the dreamers who forgot how to dream. For the ones who lost hope somewhere along the way.
My work explores the space between light and shadow, weaving subconscious narratives inspired by my cross-cultural life, Japanese fashion, and a lifelong fascination with the dreamlike surreal. I create evocative portraits that reimagine femininity as a powerful, hybrid force, where delicate beauty coexists with a haunting, resilient strength. Sometimes I paint girls. Sometimes monsters. But overall: pretty, dreamy, ethereal. Cotton-candy girls with shadows beneath their smiles.
Each piece is a journey into a vibrant, otherworldly mindscape. A love letter to the strange and beautiful. My art is a manifestation of my own path toward healing and hope, because I was once a dreamer who forgot how to dream, too.
Recurring elements of neon colours and the obscure act as metaphors for resilience, capturing light within darkness and alchemizing experience into strength. These characters are symbols of transformation, designed to empower others to embrace their own shadows, scars, and multifaceted identities.
Now, building my life and raising my family in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, I have found a deep sense of home. It is here that I fully embrace my purpose:
to create a sense of solidarity and invite viewers into a world where the eerie is enchanting. My goal is to encourage a reflection on one's own unique internal landscape and find both power and solace in the beauty of the strange and the surreal.
So you can find your wonder again.
So you can start dreaming again.
