Pink Witch

Project type

Fine Arts

A heresy in high-gloss pink: a witch whose power bleeds out in saline trails, not sinister incantations. Her hat, a neon-bright steeple against a world expecting shadows, casts a glow that is less a warning and more a welcome—a vulnerability mistaken for a weakness. This is not the crone of the woods, but the girl who got lost on her way home, who found her magic not in a cauldron but in a heartbreak.

This piece dissects the archetype with a tender, brutal hand. It’s a confrontation in candyfloss colors. Her tears are not of weakness but of overwhelming sensation, a conduit for a magic so raw it must leak out at the seams. The classic silhouette of the witch is subverted, made soft, made sorrowful, made real. She is a creature of profound feeling in a realm that demands ferocity, her pastel existence its own defiant act of rebellion. The work asks: what is stronger—the power to curse, or the courage to feel everything?
